Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara – Game Drive in Lake Manyara National Park
Travelers will be picked up in Arusha by a guide in a safari vehicle. The journey from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park takes about one and a half hours. Enjoy the park’s views while driving through, observing animals such as big cats, herds of African bush elephants, hippopotami, zebras, giraffes, and Cape buffaloes.
Upon arrival, transfer to the lodge at noon for lunch. An afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park will provide more opportunities to observe the wildlife of this beautiful area. After a full afternoon of game viewing, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Central Serengeti – Afternoon Game Drive in Serengeti
Begin the day with breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, transfer to Central Serengeti National Park, which takes about 2 hours and 23 minutes. Upon arrival, proceed to the lodge to relax and enjoy views of Serengeti’s savanna grasslands. Lunch will be served in the afternoon.
An afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park will offer sightings of wildebeests, Defassa waterbucks, hartebeests, giraffes, common elands, warthogs, zebras, African buffaloes, elephants, and cheetahs. Stay alert to spot as many animals as possible. At sunset, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight rest.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive in Central Serengeti and Transfer to Ngorongoro/Karatu
After an early breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in Central Serengeti. This drive will offer more chances to see the Big Five, along with wildebeests, hartebeests, and Defassa waterbucks. Enjoy the wildlife and stunning views of Serengeti’s savanna grasslands throughout the morning.
At midday, return to the lodge for lunch, then begin the journey to Ngorongoro, which takes about 4 hours. Upon arrival, continue to Karatu and check in at the lodge for relaxation. An evening game drive will provide a chance to see more animals and explore parts of the Ngorongoro Crater. As night falls, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 hours) and Transfer to Arusha
After breakfast, embark on an extensive tour of the Ngorongoro Crater, spending about 5 hours enjoying the beautiful scenery and wildlife.
Return to the lodge around midday for lunch, then begin the journey back to Arusha, which takes about 2 hours and 33 minutes. Once in Arusha, you will catch your flight home, marking the end of this exciting safari.
