Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara – Game Drive in Lake Manyara National Park
Travelers will be picked up in Arusha by a guide in a safari vehicle. The journey from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park takes approximately one and a half hours. Enjoy the park’s views as you drive through, observing animals like big cats, herds of African bush elephants, hippopotami, zebras, giraffes, and Cape buffaloes.
Upon arrival, transfer to the lodge at noon for a delicious lunch. An afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park will provide further opportunities to observe the captivating flora and fauna of this magnificent wilderness. After a full afternoon of viewing, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight rest.
Day 2: Transfer to Central Serengeti – Afternoon Game Drive in Serengeti
Begin the day with a delicious breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, embark on a transfer to Central Serengeti National Park, which will take roughly 2 hours and 23 minutes. On arrival, proceed to the lodge to relax and enjoy views of Serengeti’s savanna grasslands. Lunch will be served in the afternoon.
An afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park will offer sightings of hundreds of wildebeests, Defassa waterbucks, hartebeests, giraffes, common elands, warthogs, zebras, African buffaloes, elephants, and cheetahs. Keep your eyes open to ensure you don’t miss any wildlife. At sunset, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight rest.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive in Central Serengeti and Transfer to Ngorongoro/Karatu
After an early breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in Central Serengeti. This drive will offer more chances to observe the Big Five, along with wildebeests, hartebeests, and Defassa waterbucks. Enjoy the views and experiences through Serengeti’s savanna grasslands for the entire morning.
At midday, return to the lodge for a hearty lunch, then set off on the journey to Ngorongoro, which will take approximately 4 hours. Upon arrival, continue to Karatu and proceed to your lodge for some relaxation. An evening game drive will offer a chance to observe more animals and explore areas in the Ngorongoro Crater. As night falls, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 hours) and Transfer to Arusha
After a delicious breakfast, embark on an extensive tour of the Ngorongoro Crater, spending approximately 5 hours enjoying sightseeing and photography in this incredible landscape.
Return to the lodge around midday for lunch, after which you’ll start the journey back to Arusha, which takes about 2 hours and 33 minutes. Once in Arusha, you will catch your flight home, bringing this exciting safari to an end.
