This 3-day Murchison Falls wildlife safari will take you to the largest national park in Uganda for an exciting wildlife viewing experience.
Murchison Falls National Park is the only place in Uganda where you can find the Big Five game animals, though it requires some luck to spot all of them.
The rhinos can easily be seen at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary before heading to the main park.

Detailed 3-Day Murchison Falls Safari Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Upon arrival, you will be picked up by our guide and company representative, then transferred to Murchison Falls National Park.
You will have lunch in Masindi at Masindi Hotel—Uganda’s first and oldest hotel—before proceeding to the main park.
You will stop by the top of the falls for a short visit and then proceed to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Optional Activity: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Visit ($50 per person)
Day 2 – Game Drive and Boat Cruise
After an early morning breakfast, you will head out for a morning game viewing drive around the park.
Watching the sunrise while bonding with the animals is an unforgettable experience.
The game drive will last about 3 hours, offering the perfect opportunity to spot herds of wildlife roaming around the park.
Some of the wildlife species you are likely to see include elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, and leopards, along with several species of birdlife.
You will then return to the lodge for lunch and, in the afternoon, embark on a boat ride to the bottom of the falls.
This launch trip will also take you along the riverbanks, an area with the highest concentration of wildlife in the park.
From here, you will have the chance to spot the rare shoebill stork, various birds, hippos, crocodiles, and other mammals.
Day 3 – Game Drive and Departure
Wake up, enjoy a nice breakfast, and head out for another morning game drive.
If your main goal is to spot the Big Five, this drive will focus on locating any members of the Big Five you didn’t see the previous day.
After the drive, you will return to Kampala, arriving in the evening in time for your departure flight.
