Detailed Kigali to Bwindi Tour Details
Day 1: Pick up and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Optional Cultural Adventure
From the agreed point; Kigali international airport or hotel, our company representative will gladly welcome you for the trip, with a glass of juice a brief explanation of the hour the adventure runs, and a response to any question.
The drive to Bwindi takes about 3-4 hours, with an amazing view of rolling hills, plantations, and a very captivating border post; where documents will be verified.
Upon arrival at the sector of your choice, there will be Lunch, refreshment, and then an optional cultural encounter with the Batwa pygmies, as dinner and overnight follow.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Departure back to Kigali
After a lip-smacking breakfast meal at sunrise, there will be a transfer to the park headquarters for registration and briefing by the park rangers. The briefing lasts for about 30 minutes; with the park rangers explaining the life of Gorillas, trekking rules, and allocating you to a Gorilla family you wish to track.
The tracking exercise goes through where the apes were last seen previous day, for approximately 1-6 hours; encounter other primates, birds, forest mammals, and unique tree species.
Upon locating the allocated gorilla family, a maximum of one hour will be given to closely monitor the apes, take photos and get your questions answered. Thereafter you will return to the lodge for lunch, and then checkout for a drive to Kigali International Airport for a flight to the next destination.
