Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Our representative picks you up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel. After a short trip briefing, you begin the 3 to 4 hour drive to Bwindi.
On the way, you will pass hills, plantations, and the Rwanda Uganda border crossing. On arrival, you have lunch and relax. You can also join an optional cultural visit with the Batwa community. Dinner and overnight stay are at your lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Return to Kigali
After breakfast, you head to the park headquarters for registration and a ranger briefing. This 30 minute briefing covers gorilla trekking rules and details about the gorilla families in Bwindi.
Your trek follows the path where the gorillas were last seen. Trekking time ranges from 1 to 6 hours, and you may spot birds, primates, and forest wildlife along the way.
Once you reach your gorilla family, you spend one full hour watching them, taking photos, and learning about their behavior from your guide.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch, then check out and drive back to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight.
