Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Depart Kampala and Transfer to Bwindi via the Equator
Your driver guide welcomes you on arrival at the airport or from your hotel. After a short briefing, you start the journey to Bwindi. Along the way, enjoy the scenery as you cross the equator at Kayabwe.
Stop at Igongo Hotel in Mbarara city for lunch. You can also visit the museum or buy souvenirs if time allows. Continue to Bwindi for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Optional Nature Walk in Bwindi
After an early breakfast, drive to the park offices for your gorilla trekking briefing. Present your trekking permit, then join your ranger guide, who explains the rules before you begin.
Bwindi has over 18 habituated gorilla groups, and you will be assigned to one of them. The trek can take several hours, and once you find the gorillas, you spend one full hour watching them.
After lunch, you can join a community visit or nature walk. This gives you the chance to see butterflies, birds, and other animals you may have missed during the trek. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer Back to Kampala or Entebbe
