Detailed Tanzania Joining Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Pick up from Arusha

You will be met upon arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Here you will receive a briefing about the next amazing days of your Tanzanian holiday.

During the journey to your lodging, you might have a chance to catch a glimpse of the elegant flamingoes foraging in Lake Manyara.

Check in at your leisure, unwind to wash off some of the weariness as you wait for a delicious dinner and overnight sleep in preparation for your next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Exploring Elegant Lake Manyara and Maasai Village

Rise early to a pleasing and energizing breakfast to prepare you for the day’s activities.

After breakfast, head out to Lake Manyara for an exhilarating morning safari.

Lake Manyara offers guests scenic views of the vast northern plains of Tanzania and the great East African Rift Valley.

This combination has favored the existence of various wildlife that range from buffaloes, different antelope species, blue monkeys, and remarkable birdlife.

The park is also endowed with celebrated tree-climbing lions; the only other place with climbing lions is the Ishasha Sector in western Uganda.

Have an unforgettable picnic lunch in the Tanzanian wilderness as you listen to wonderful singing birds.

After lunch, proceed to the Maasai Village for a community experience with the locals and a look at different school projects.

Later in the afternoon, navigate the tricky Rift escarpments and find yourself at the crater where you will spend the night.

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Early morning after your usual breakfast, head out for Ngorongoro Crater.

On the way, you will have an opportunity to see the renowned Olduvai Gorge, undoubtedly a top anthropological zone in the whole world.

This is where it is believed that the first record of prehistoric/earliest man was documented.

Ngorongoro is a phenomenal volcano with a natural amphitheater that was formed as a result of the volcano collapsing on itself.

The crater is blessed with teeming big game, notably the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) roaming its approximately 25 km radius.

Exploring the crater in the morning offers visitors fantastic game views and stunning scenery of this enormous feature.

The crater has been reportedly portrayed as the eighth wonder of the world.

After a tasty lunch, embark on your journey to the phenomenal Serengeti in central Tanzania.

Day 4: Full Day Serengeti Exploration

On the fourth day of your five-day Tanzania adventure, wake up early for a quick breakfast and set off for a full-day exploration of the great Serengeti National Park.

Explore the grand plains of the park. A game drive here gives tourists an almost 100% guarantee of viewing all the Big Five – rhino, lion, elephants, leopard, and buffalo in their natural habitats.

You will also have an expedition through the riverine areas that make the park well-known.

Return to the lodge for lunch and then continue with an evening game drive or enjoy a terrific picnic in the gorgeous African wilderness.

Serengeti National Park is the country’s oldest gazetted sanctuary for wildlife and boasts a surplus of exquisite animals.

The park is most famous for its yearly migration of more than 1.5 million wildebeests and 200,000-plus zebras from south to north and vice versa. Serengeti is an exciting wild gem in the world and keeps attracting numerous guests each year to tap into its tremendous beauty ranging from wildlife and bewildering geography.

Day 5: Short Game Drive and Transfer Back to Arusha

After a leisurely breakfast, have a brief game drive on your way to Seronera Central Airstrip and fly back to Arusha for your departure or embark on other plans. This marks the end of your 5-day Serengeti & Ngorongoro safari.

You are recommended to carry sturdy hiking boots for necessary use, insect repellents to avoid pesky insects, sunscreen to shield you from intense sunshine especially in the dry season, and keep your travel documents in order.

Wishing you a successful trip as you explore Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater!
