Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Our guide will pick you up at Kigali International Airport or any accommodation of your choice and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park in the northern province of Rwanda. The drive takes approximately 2 hours or less, depending on your guide’s speed.
Upon arrival, enjoy a cultural experience at Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village. This is a perfect opportunity to learn about Rwanda’s culture, values, traditional dances, and more. Afterward, transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Departure
Wake up early in the morning and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing meeting before heading into the jungle to search for your respective mountain gorilla family. Spend an hour with them upon locating them, then return to the park headquarters to receive your gorilla tracking certificates.
