Day 1: Drive from Nairobi to Masai Mara through the Rift Valley
A professional guide will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi in a safari vehicle. Begin the drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, which takes about 5 hours and 20 minutes through the eastern Rift Valley, a popular area known for its beautiful scenery, perfect for photography.
Continue the drive to Masai Mara, slowing down as you pass through the reserve to enjoy views of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, and other animals. Upon arrival, proceed to the lodge, where lunch will be served. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in the northern parts of the reserve, with sightings of cheetahs, hyenas, hartebeests, leopards, waterbucks, and African buffaloes. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Early Morning and Afternoon Game Drives in Masai Mara
At sunrise, guests will be served breakfast by the lodge’s hospitality team. Then, embark on a morning game drive in central Masai Mara, with chances to witness the famous wildebeest migration along with other fascinating animals, including the Big Five.
The game drive will continue until mid-morning, after which you will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy another game drive, where you will see more animals, beautiful birds, and the Mara River. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha – Evening Boat Safari
Breakfast will be served at sunrise. Afterward, begin the journey to Lake Naivasha, which takes about 3 to 4 hours. Upon arrival, explore the wilderness around Lake Naivasha, where you can observe various species that thrive in this unique environment.
In the afternoon, check in at the lodge, where lunch will be served. Later, enjoy a game drive in Lake Naivasha National Park, with opportunities to spot Cape buffaloes, leopards, jackals, servals, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, springboks, hartebeests, Defassa waterbucks, elands, and common warthogs. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park – Evening Game Drive
Enjoy breakfast at sunrise, then check out and begin the journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. The scenic drive takes about 1 hour and 55 minutes through Kenya’s lush countryside.
Upon arrival, explore the national park, where you can see a variety of wildlife, including hartebeests, Defassa waterbucks, elands, common genets, leopards, jackals, servals, giraffes, zebras, springboks, and lions. Around midday, proceed to the lodge for a relaxing break and lunch.
In the evening, go on another game drive, with more opportunities to observe wildlife in the grasslands of Lake Nakuru, including the Big Five and spotted hyenas. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Return to Nairobi
As the sun rises over the wilderness of Lake Nakuru National Park, breakfast will be served to visitors. After breakfast, check out and begin the 3-hour and 10-minute drive back to Nairobi. Arrival in Nairobi marks the end of the safari, and visitors can continue their journeys back home.
