On this first day of your flying safaris in Kenya, you will depart from your hotel in Nairobi to Wilson Airport for the one-hour chartered flight to Masai Mara National Reserve, with jaw-dropping views over Kenya’s landscape that also include the stunning Great Rift Valley Escarpment.
Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by our safari leader for the drive to our tented camp or safari lodge where we will spend time during the 3-day Flying Safari.
During the road transfer through Masai Mara National Reserve, you will be able to view some wildlife species.
Arrive at the lodge by noon, settle in, freshen up, and board the open safari vehicle for the game drive where we expect to see common warthogs, Cape buffaloes, lions, African bush elephants, zebras, wildebeests, Masai giraffes, hippos, cheetahs, Kirk’s Dik-dik, impalas, bushbucks, Thomson’s gazelles, and leopards among others.
Upon returning to the lodge, enjoy a traditional candle-lit African dinner served under the stars with entertainment from local dancers.
Day 2: Full Day Tours in Masai Mara National Reserve
After an early morning wake-up call with hot beverages and fresh fruits, set off on an open safari vehicle for a game viewing extravaganza.
Guided by a park ranger, track different animals such as impalas, wildebeests, Masai giraffes, Defassa waterbucks, lions, cheetahs, hippos, leopards, Kobs, Rhinos, African wild dogs, bushbucks, and many others before returning to the camp or lodge for brunch.
The mid-morning is spent at leisure; you may opt to relax at the lodge with a fine African book or enjoy the balcony overlooking the savannah plains.
After a light meal and relaxation, head for a late afternoon game drive on an open safari vehicle where more animals will be spotted in their natural environment.
Dinner is served upon your return to the lodge, followed by sharing memories of the day’s activities around a bonfire with after-meal drinks.
Day 3: Fly Back to Nairobi City
After enjoying hot beverages or fresh cocktail juice for breakfast, depart on the final open vehicle game drive to see more animals that you might have missed during the previous game drives.
