Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Aberdare National Park from Nairobi
Meet your assigned driver-guide and immediately transfer from Nairobi to Aberdare National Park, a journey of about 4 hours. Depending on your arrival time, have lunch or proceed with a game drive in the park, where you may encounter animals such as buffaloes, elephants, lions, bushbucks, bush pigs, warthogs, reedbucks, serval cats, elands, and more. Enjoy the scenic views, then head to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Game Drive and Depart to Lake Nakuru National Park
Begin the day with a morning game drive to enjoy the sunrise in the dense forest and open moorlands. Later, head to Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its large flocks of flamingos that brighten the environment with their vibrant pink color. Arrive, check in to your lodge, have lunch, and then embark on an evening game drive, where you may see Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, baboons, impalas, waterbucks, hippos, colobus monkeys, hyenas, and rhinos. After the drive, return to the lodge for dinner.
Day 3: Head to Masai Mara National Reserve
Leave Lake Nakuru and transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Kenya’s largest protected areas, famous for the annual wildebeest migration and home to the Big Five. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge and enjoy an evening game drive to spot animals like lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, African buffaloes, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, and more.
Day 4: Explore the Mara Plains (Game Drives)
Spend a full day participating in game drives, with a planned picnic lunch stop. Expect to encounter numerous animals, including the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards), as well as giraffes, zebras, warthogs, lesser kudu, crocodiles, cheetahs, jackals, impalas, bushbucks, elands, hartebeests, and many others. If you’re visiting between May and September, don’t miss the spectacular annual wildebeest migration. In the evening, return to the lodge to share stories and memories.
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Naivasha
In the morning, check out and head to Lake Naivasha, a rewarding tourist destination, approximately 5 hours away. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in the Rift Valley, home to a wide variety of unique bird species such as herons, flamingos, egrets, and jacanas. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge, enjoy lunch, and then set out on an evening game drive to observe different birds and animals. Return to the lodge for dinner.
Day 6: Transfer to Amboseli National Park
Begin with a morning game drive, spotting mammals like buffaloes, gazelles, giraffes, hippos, baboons, monkeys, and more. Afterward, transfer to Amboseli National Park, renowned for its scenic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and large elephant herds.
