Detailed Masai Mara Migration Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
You will be picked up between 7:00 am and 8:00 am, depending on where you spent the night. This will be followed by a brief orientation and departure to Masai Mara Game Reserve shortly after.
As you make your way through the mighty Rift Valley, do not miss witnessing its escarpments and take as many photos as your camera can afford to store.
You will also learn about the formation of the Rift Valley.
Descend the escarpment and pass through the small town of Narok, where you can shop and enjoy a hot lunch before proceeding.
After a satisfying lunch, continue to Masai Mara Game Reserve. By late afternoon, you will arrive at an Eco lodge where game viewing will take place for at least two or three hours, typically starting at either 3:00 pm or 3:30 pm.
Here, you will witness the beauty of the sunset. Then, retreat to the campsite for a bonfire, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve
After a delicious breakfast at the campsite, the next activity is a full day of game viewing in Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Enjoy the beauty of the savannah grassland on the rolling hills of the reserve. Masai Mara Game Reserve is renowned in Kenya for its extensive road and track networks, which provide reliable opportunities for close-range views and photography.
During your picnic lunch break at Hippo Pool, do not miss the chance to observe the mighty crocodiles and hippopotamuses, the major occupants of the area.
An additional game drive is scheduled for the afternoon as you return to the lodge.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi
After an early morning game drive, return to the lodge for a late breakfast. From there, begin your journey out of the Masai Mara region, heading back to Nairobi.
