Detailed 4-Day Uganda Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe & Transfer to Bwindi
Your driver guide will pick you up from Kampala or Entebbe Airport. After a short briefing, begin the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, enjoy views of landscapes and villages. On arrival, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, head to the park offices for a briefing about Bwindi gorilla trekking rules. You will be assigned a ranger guide and given the chance to hire equipment if needed.
The trek may take several hours, and once you find the gorillas you will spend one hour with them. Along the way, you may also see monkeys, birds, and other forest wildlife.
In the afternoon, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa. The lake has 29 islands, each with its own history, including Punishment Island and Leprosy Island. Check in at a lakeside resort and relax.
Day 3: Full Day at Lake Bunyonyi
Spend the day exploring Lake Bunyonyi. Take a boat trip to different islands and learn their stories. In the afternoon, hike one of the nearby hills for wide views of the lake. Optional activities include zip lining and cultural shows by the Bakiga and Batwa people. Return to your resort for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Return to Kampala with Stop at the Equator
After breakfast, begin the drive back to Kampala. Pass through Mbarara and Lake Mburo National Park. Stop at the equator for photos, lunch, and souvenir shopping. Later, continue to Kampala or Entebbe, where your driver guide will drop you at the airport or agreed location.
