Detailed 3-Day Queen Elizabeth Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for photos and coffee, and later have lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara.
The drive also offers views of tea plantations, farmlands, and cattle herds. Arrive in the park by evening and enjoy a short game drive as you head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Game Drive & Boat Trip
Start your day with an early breakfast and head out for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains. These open savannas are home to elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, lions, waterbucks, warthogs, and many bird species.
After the drive, return to the lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This two-hour trip gives you a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and large numbers of water birds along the shores. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Return to Kampala
After breakfast, check out and begin the journey back to Kampala. Drive through the Ishasha Sector, famous for tree-climbing lions, before continuing your trip.
Stop for lunch on the way and make a final stop at the Equator for photos before arriving in Kampala in the evening.
