Detailed 1-Day Rwanda Gorilla Tour Itinerary

This tour requires you to already be in Rwanda, or alternatively, your flight should arrive no later than midnight for a same-day trekking and departure.
Our Rwanda tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation or Kigali International Airport as early as 4:00 AM and drive you to Volcanoes National Park in the northern province of Rwanda, a journey of approximately 2 hours or less.
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the park offices in Kinigi for the briefing. Afterward, you will venture into the jungles to search for mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking can last from 2 to 8 hours, depending on how quickly the gorillas are located. Park rangers often locate the gorillas in advance and guide your group, minimizing search time.
When you encounter the gorillas, you will have 1 hour to observe them in their natural habitat, take photos (without flash), watch them interact, and learn about the family group from your guide.
After your time with the gorillas, you will return to the park headquarters to receive your gorilla tracking certificates. Then, you’ll be transferred back to Kigali City to catch your flight home, marking the end of your 1-day Rwanda gorilla tour. If you plan to stay overnight in Rwanda before departing, our guide will transfer you to your accommodation.
