Tour Overview
This tour begins with an early morning departure on the first day for a briefing at the park offices by 07:00 hrs, followed by the ascent of Mount Bisoke. The second day starts with another morning briefing specifically for gorilla trekking.
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Bisoke Crater Hike
Early morning pick-up from your location and transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze. Attend the morning briefing before proceeding to the starting point of the Bisoke Crater Hike. The hike takes 2 – 4 hours to ascend and approximately 2 hours to descend, depending on your physical fitness. At the summit, marvel at the 400-meter-wide crater and capture breathtaking views.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Departure
Enjoy an early breakfast and head to the park headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing before starting the gorilla trekking adventure in the jungle. Trekking duration ranges from 2 to 8 hours, inclusive of a magical 1-hour encounter with mountain gorillas.
After gorilla trekking, return to the park headquarters for your gorilla tracking certificates. Transfer to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable safari experience.
