Detailed Uganda Gorilla Trekking & Tanzania Wildlife Safari in Serengeti National Park
Day 1: Arrival and city tour in Kampala
As soon as you land at Entebbe international airport, pickup will be done by our expert driver-guide who will brief you, before having a simple city tour; visiting the reptile Village, the Masengere palace building; a historical site to learn of Buganda’s Kings who sacrificed everything for the kingdom and also the museum to learn of the Countries cultural and historical treasures. A city Lunch meal will settle matters, before proceeding to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have the first meal of the day at sunrise; then check out of the lodge for a 9-10 hour scenic drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park; a misty jungle with the endangered mountain Gorillas, teaming up with birds, plants, and forest mammals.
You will have a stopover for Lunch, but also admire the beauty in the countryside; the homesteads, smiling natives, plantations, and Ankole long-horned cattle. Check into your lodge at the sector you wish to track from, enjoy dinner and a peaceful nap.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and the Batwa Encounter
Start this day with a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, followed by a drive to the park headquarters for a pre trekking briefing by the park rangers. You will be told about the unique lifestyle of these apes, trekking rules and then allocated to the different Gorilla families. Gorilla trekking lasts for approximately 1-8 hours, plus an additional one hour for photos, closer observations, question and answer moments.
After gorilla trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon encounter with the Batwa pygmies. The activity runs for approximately 2 hours, with the former occupants narrating their unique lifestyle, dance, and songs. Dinner and a nap mark the end of today’s program.
Day 4: Bwindi to Arusha National Park
From a peaceful sleep to a lip-smacking breakfast meal, you will check out of the lodge happily, for a rewarding drive back to Entebbe airport. The first stopover will be at the equator point for lunch and to with the demonstrations that prove the effect of the marginal line crossing only thirteen countries in the world, as well as diving the world into the northern and southern hemispheres.
Flight out from Entebbe with a regional flight to northern Tanzania. Upon arrival in Arusha, our company representative will gladly meet and brief you about the trip, before hitting the road to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, you will checkout for a rewarding drive to Serengeti national park; a wonder and one of the most visited national parks in the continent of Africa. You will enjoy snacks on the way, sights of rolling hills, and plantations and a comfortable drive.
There will be an en-route stopover for lunch. A drive to the lodge through the park offers chances of enjoying sunset beauty and watching several animals congregate. Dinner and overnight mark the end of this day.
Day 6: Full day game drive
Sunrise starts with a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge, before a rewarding full day game drive at the vast Serengeti plains; a place beatified by not only the captivating landscape but also a variety of animal species, birds, primate and tree species; in the notable residents you may encounter at the course if you search are not limited to; lions.
Wildebeests, zebras, elephants, cheetahs, impalas, rhinos, and warthogs among others; birds such as the flamingos, love birds, egrets and turacos, plants, and many more. This day sees you enjoy a bush breakfast and Picnic lunch in the wild, whereas dinner and a nap at the lodge.
Day 7: Full-day cultural encounter
After the last dot of Tea from your cup, transfer to the local Maasai Community for an interaction with these historic warriors. For the entire day, you appreciate the culture of one of the most indigenous and famous tribes in Kenya, with local attire, dancing, singing and moving with the local natives.
The Maasai people will showcase their local outfit, and the Manyattas; a house where newly circumcised boys settled. Lunch will be in the community, before returning to the lodge late in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Departure
The first thing from bed is a tasty cup of coffee, before checking out of the lodge for a transfer to Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport for onward flight.
