Detailed 5-Day Volcanoes National Park Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Our guide will pick you up from Kigali and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze. The drive is approximately 2 hours and very scenic. You will enjoy views of the beautiful hills and mountains of Rwanda along the way
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Iby’Iwacu Cultural Visit
Wake up to an early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters in Kinigi for a brief meeting, then proceed to search for gorillas. Gorilla tracking lasts from 2 to 8 hours depending on how long it takes to find the gorillas. After meeting the gorillas, you will return to your starting point to receive your respective gorilla tracking certificates.
In the afternoon, experience Rwandan culture at the majestic Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village in Musanze.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Twin Lakes
Wake up early and head to trek the Golden Monkeys in Volcanoes National Park. This is another exciting activity that lasts between 2 to 4 hours.
