Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival, you will be met by our tour guide and transferred to Volcanoes National Park in the northern province of Rwanda. On arrival, you have the option to take part in an evening activity.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Wake up early and head to the park headquarters for a briefing before heading into the jungle to search for gorillas. Gorilla trekking may take between 2 to 8 hours, depending on how long it takes to find them.
In the afternoon, visit Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village for a taste of Rwandan culture.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Kivu
Early in the morning, transfer to Lake Kivu in the western province of Rwanda. On arrival, take an afternoon boat ride to Coffee Island and explore a few other places.
In the evening, visit the surrounding towns of Gisenyi and Kibuye.
Day 4: Lake Kivu and Departure
On the last day, spend your morning relaxing at the beaches around Lake Kivu and enjoy optional water sports activities.
