Detailed Tanzania Honeymoon Package

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to the Hotel in Arusha, Tanzania

The driver/guide will meet and greet you at the airport and then transfer you to the booked accommodation facility.

Tanzania is one of the amazing wildlife countries in East Africa and Africa at large, where you cannot forget the memories of wildebeest migration, rare tree-climbing lions, the Great Rift Valley views, among others.

The driver guide will offer you an informative briefing covering everything from the itinerary to the country at large, including weather and climatic changes.

You will then head to your accommodation and have leisure time and free evenings.

Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, head to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is one of the oldest national parks in Tanzania and one of the largest, covered with Savannah habitats that shelter different wildlife, including wild animals, bird species, and flora, among others.

Some of the animals in this park include leopards, elephants, lions, buffalos, and rhinos. Bird species include grey throated spur fowl, Shallow’s wheatear, red-throated tit, rufous-tailed weaver, and grey-crested helmet shrike, among others.

The journey from Arusha to Serengeti National Park takes about 4 to 5 hours. On arrival, you will have lunch and then embark on an evening game drive where some nocturnal animals will be spotted.

Day 3-4: Adventure in Serengeti National Park

The two days in Serengeti will be memorable, where you could encounter different wildlife during game drives.

Game drives will take you to different spots with an excellent concentration of mammals in the Serengeti plains.

You will have a chance to witness the migration of wildebeests if the safari happens during the months of the annual migration.

The diverse landscape of Serengeti National Park is amazing, and animals that might be spotted include lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, antelopes like elands, impalas, bushbucks, waterbucks, among others.

Game drives are arranged in two shifts: morning and afternoon shifts with breaks during lunchtime, which might be a picnic.

There will also be great photographic moments of your lifetime.

Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater and Game Drive

Early in the morning, depart for Ngorongoro Crater, located in the southern tip of Serengeti National Park, and enjoy another dose of wildlife encounters on your 10 Days Tanzania wildlife safari.

This area is known to accommodate the largest unbroken caldera and Olduvai Gorge – a renowned archaeological site.

This area is where the first early human skulls were discovered, and archaeologists are still excavating for more findings.

You have an option to take a nature walk and get an aerial view of this crater.

More bird species and animals will be spotted on this day as you choose between a game drive or nature walk.

Later, check into the hotel or lodge for your accommodation.

Day 6: Game Drive and Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

Head for a game drive taking about 2 hours as you roam around the plains where you will be able to spot different wildlife such as wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, African hunting dogs, rhinos, lions, leopards, and spotted hyenas, cheetahs, among others.

Birds spotted here include the silvery-cheeked hornbill, bronze sunbird, and superb starling, among others. Get a view of the Great Rift Valley around Lake Natron and find your way to Lake Manyara National Park.

This is the only park in Tanzania and the second in East Africa where you can trek the remarkably elusive tree-climbing lions.

These are normally found hanging in tree branches relaxing as they gaze at their prey. Arrive at the park and head to your booked lodge for relaxation.

Day 7: Lake Manyara Tour

Early in the morning, be served breakfast and depart with your lunch box.

Have the option of returning to the lodge and enjoy your hot lunch before heading out to encounter different animals and birds in the Savannah plains. Animals include hyenas, lions, buffalos, elephants, wildebeests, and birds like flamingos, hornbills, and eagles.

Early morning game drives take you to encounter wild animals that are early risers aiming at hunting, like the big cats and the spotted hyenas.

Some primates like the olive baboons and vervet monkeys can also be spotted, and the tree-climbing lions are usually seen during the afternoon as they relax in tree branches. Late evening following sunset, return to your lodge for dinner.

Day 8: Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Head to Tarangire National Park after breakfast. The park has endless plains of Savannah and seasonal marshes, known to have the largest herds of elephants in the northern part of the country.

In addition to elephants, Tarangire National Park is home to other wild animals such as buffalos, giraffes, zebras, lions, and different species of antelopes like gazelles, waterbucks, and bushbucks, among others.

On arrival, engage straightaway in exciting game drives to spot such wildlife and more found in these Savannah and marsh areas.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild and proceed to enjoy the beautiful scenery of this park and its inhabitants.

Drive to the booked accommodation where you will spend your night on this day.

Day 9: Full Day in Tarangire National Park

Take breakfast and receive your packed lunch that you will enjoy while taking the drive in the Savannah plains of Tarangire National Park.

Both morning and afternoon game drives will be rewarding with different wildlife compared to the previous day, including baboons, lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, cheetahs, warthogs, and antelopes, among others.

Pack all your luggage and be ready to take the final road trip back to Arusha the next morning.
