Safari Overview
This 3-day trip is to the northern part of the Republic of Tanzania. It is a road trip starting with breakfast at Arusha Tanzania; lunch in Tarangire National Park, and the last breakfast meal at Lake Manyara National Park.
Lake Tarangire National Park is the nearest conservation area to Arusha city. Lake Manyara National Park sits between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley. Both parks are recorded to be hosting the sought-after tree climbing lions.
The trip highlight will be encountering the sight and sound of Africa’s big 5 animals including lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffaloes. Watch out for the breathtaking landscape, lush vegetation and breathtaking landscape. You will engage in game drive, photography, sightseeing, bird watching and culture adventure. Have a taste of Kenyan dishes and learn a few Swahili words before departure. All accommodation, transfers and more are well arranged.
Detailed Trip
Day1: Pick-up and transfer to Tarangire NP-sunset game drive
Today you will meet and greet our driver at the agreed pick-up point in Arusha City. After being briefed on how the trip will go, the 1-2 hours’ drive to Tarangire National Park starts. You will drive through the fast-growing outcasts of Arusha town, with eye-catching views of the rolling hills and plantations. There will be an early arrival at the park headquarters for registration. Afterwards, proceed to the lodge for check-in and lunch.
The first activity of the day starts at around 15:00 hours and lasts for about 2-3 hours when the evening is cool and the animals are getting ready to retire from the day’s activities. You can’t be sure of what you will encounter until it comes your way. In addition to the breathtaking landscape, and vast Tarangire River; the count of birds, plants, primates, reptiles, prey and predators may amaze you.
The parks list includes among others; elephants, wildebeests, lions, leopards, giraffes, rhinos, warthogs, waterbuck, zebras, olive baboons, eland, grant gazelles, cheetah, African wild dogs, dik-dik, banded mongoose and more. The park features acacia woodland, baobab trees, and combretum woodland. At sunset, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day2: Drive to Lake Manyara NP-game drive
After having a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park; about a one-hour journey. There will be an enroute stopover for lunch and some relaxation. The journey continues with stunning views of the landscape and plantations in the countryside.
You will arrive at the park in the evening hours, register, and embark on the 2-3 hours’ night game drive. The beauty of a sunset game drive gives you a high chance of encountering nocturnal animals and night hunters such as lions, leopards, owls, hyenas, cheetahs, and more. Afterwards, drive to your lodge for check-in, dinner and a nap.
Day3: Departure-cultural encounter
You will brighten this morning with a hefty breakfast meal at the lodge. Thereafter, hit the road on a 2-3 hours’ road trip to Arusha Tanzania. Enroute; you will have a stopover at Mto WA Mbu town for a cultural exchange with the renowned Masai warriors. Within two hours of your visit, you will visit the Manyattas, uncover the life of the seasoned pastoralists, watch the local performances and purchase a few local souvenirs such as the crafts.
Afterwards, the drive continues with a stopover for lunch and drop-off at the preferred point which marks the end of the three days safari in the northern safari circuit of Tanzania.
