Overview
This is a short Kenya Safari as it will take you to Masai Mara National Reserve home to both large and small mammals including over 450 bird species. Enjoy the endless scenery covered with roaring elephants, barking hyenas, wildebeest, and zebras, migrating birds flying and singing in the air, and punching on trees.
Take part in different game drives to explore the true African wilderness, and take a community walk to the Maasai community to learn more about one of the African culture ways of life.
Detailed Itinerary
Day1. Head to Mara from Nairobi
The driver guide will pick you up from the agreed point in Nairobi and then a briefing will follow after meeting up with you. Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve home to the big five animals and also known as a hub where wildebeest migration can be witnessed. Enjoy photography at the Rift Valley Viewing Point while on the way to this reserve. Arrive and proceed with a game drive to start the search for Masai Mara’s wildlife.
Day2. Full-day Mara exploration
Spend a full day in Mara taking part in different experiences like game drives, hot air balloon Safari, and visiting the neighboring community of the Masai people. During the game drives, spot animals and birds like flamingos, ibis, hornbills, vultures, hawks, egrets, eagles, crocodiles, hippos, leopards, water bucks, bushbucks, kudu, elephants, buffalos, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and many more others.
During the hot air ballooning, have an aerial view of the surroundings and on a community tour, learn more about the Masai people who are pastoralists and depend on livestock. Enjoy their dress code, music, dance and drama, storytelling, milking cows, and many more. Create memories on this day while enjoying the endless scenery.
Day3. Game drive and head back to Nairobi
Have the last game drive in the plains as you spot the missed creatures. Later on, after breakfast, head back to Nairobi and be dropped at the airport and this will mark the end of the safari.
