It is a journey to refreshment, peace of mind, adventure, and pristine haven. The trip starts and ends at Nairobi city; the capital of the Republic of Kenya, to Lake Nakuru and Naivasha located approximately 164 km northwest of Nairobi city.
Each destination offers a unique experience. Lake Nakuru is one of the rift valley lakes, located south of Nakuru in the rift valley area of the Republic of Kenya. It has a large concentration of algae which attracts an abundance of pink flamingos; the destination’s main attraction.
Lake Naivasha is in Nakuru County northwest of Nairobi City. It covers an area of about 140 sq. km of the Great Rift Valley. On this visit, look out for the pink flamingos, hippos, buffalos and more. The activities you will engage in include; game drive, photography, and bird watching. Our friendly and knowledgeable guide will be at your service from the very first to the last hour of the 3-day tour.
Detailed Trip
Day1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru NP (164 km) – evening game drive
Upon landing at the airport, our driver guide will gladly welcome you for a rewarding visit to Lake Nakuru and Naivasha. There will be a briefing about the facts of your stay in Kenya, and the different attractions. Afterwards, a glass of juice will be offered to tune you to this East African destination and also for satisfaction on a 3-4 hours’ drive to Lake Nakuru National Park in the northwestern part of Kenya.
The drive covers about 164 km, through busy towns, with views of the stunning landscape and lush greenery. When you get to the park; you will register and then proceed to your lodge to refresh, and have a lip-smacking Lunch meal. At 15:00 hours, there is going to be a 2-3 hours’ game viewing. An evening of capturing the beautiful sunset, birdlife, the stunning landscape and the animals on camera.
Be on the lookout for thousands of flamingos at the lake shore; the Rothschild giraffe, cape buffaloes, hippos, olive baboons, waterbuck, Columbus monkeys, and the impalas. At sunset, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful rest.
Day2: Lake Nakuru to Naivasha-Nature walk on the Crescent island
After a lip-smacking breakfast at the lodge, exit the park with a game drive experience. The journey to Lake Naivasha lasts for approximately 2-3 hours; via patanga kinyozi-old Nairobi road to the park. You will enjoy the beautiful view of the green plantations, the Great Rift Valley and experience rural life in a glimpse.
You will arrive, register at the park entrance and proceed for Lunch. Later in the day, there will be a guided nature walk at the crescent Island- the Naivasha secret. The island is in the eastern part of Lake Naivasha, and hosts among others; the eland, zebras, wildebeests, elands, and hippos; birdlife notably; the fish eagle, lily-trotters, ospreys, pelicans, red-billed fire finches and more. Crescent Island was established in 1988. At sunset, you will head to your lodge for dinner and a sweet slumber.
Day3: Departure-Game view
After having a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, you will have an early morning game viewing around the park. Among the animals present at the park are; the gazelles, a school of hippos, Buffaloes and giraffes.
Exit the park via the slopes of the Great Rift Valley to Nairobi city. You will have lunch in the city, and then a drop-off at the airport / your preferred destination.
