10 Days Bale Mountains Trekking
Day 1: Arrival to Ethiopia
You will land at Bole International airport in Addis Ababa where you will be met by our guide who will drive you to the lodge where you will spend you night.
Overnight Hotel Lobelia or similar.
Day 2:Flight to Bale Mountains
We shall have our breakfast and then start our drive to the Bale mountains. On arrival we shall head to the park headquarters where we shall receive hiking instructions and clear as well. We expect to see the Menilik’s Buchbuck and Mountain Nyala which are endemic to this area. Some of the birds we expect to see here are: Black-headed siskin, Wattled Ibis, and Abyssinian cat bird
Overnight at Dinsho Campsite.3100masl.
Day 3: Trek To Adelay
We shall hike for about 16 kilometres from Dinsho to the Campsite at Adelay. The hike will take us though grasslands where we have chances of seeing the rare antelopes: The Menilik’s bushbuck and the Mountain Nyala. We shall also explore the woodland part of the park.
Overnight: Camp in Adelay Campsite 3400masl.
Day 4: Trek Adelay to Sodota Campsite
Today we have breakfast and take our hike to Sodota. The Hike is about 18 Kilometers. The Hike will take us through the beautiful scenery. We shall explore the point where the rivers Web and Wolla meet. You will have higher chances of seeing the Ethiopian Wolf here. The rare Blue Winged Goose is a bird you expect to see here.

Day 5: Trek Sodota to wasema
We shall have breakfast and then trek to Wasama. The trek will take us through beautiful scenery and stunning landscape. We shall go through the valleys of Mararo. Here is a very good spot for the Verraux Eagles. If you missed the Ethiopian Wolf, this area will gve you a second chance of seeing the this endemic to the country. The whole hike will take about 7 hours.

Day 6:Trek Wasema to Rafu
During this part of our adventure, we shall be in a wilderness which allows us to see the Masif Mountains. The formation of this mountain as a result of the volcanic activity. The adventure here will take us through the lands that will depict a lot of influence of volcanicity. There are rocks here due to the Basalt pipes and Granite. Today’s hike will last about 6 hours.

Day 7:Trekking to sanneti Plateau
We are heading to the stunning Sanetti Plateau from the beautiful Rafu. Some of the notable wildlife we expect to see here are Falcons, high possibilities of the Ethiopian wolf and raptors. The Afro-alpine Moor land vegetation will give us great views and we shall also explore the lakes on the plateau.

Day 8:Drive to Harenna Forest
We are hiking to the Harenna forest today. This is the second largest tropical rain forest in Ethiopia. While in this forest we expect to see that rare Ethiopian Wolf, Ruddy shell duck, Wattled Crane, Blue winged Goose and Abyssinian Hare. The Bale Monkey will be another endemic mammal to look out for. We shall later return to Robe for dinner and overnight.

Day 9:Drive To Lake Langano
We shall drive to Lake Langano after our breakfast . we shall make some stop enroute. When we arrive there, we shall check into our hotel which is one of the best in the area. We shall enjoy a simple afternoon were we can do swimming, go to the spa or sit and watch the sun set over the lake Langano.

Day 10:Drive Back to Addis Ababa
We shall take a 10 minutes drive to the Abidjatta-Shalla Lakes National Park. We shall do a morning game drive to try and see animals like warthogs, Grants gazelle, black backed jackal, ostriches and baboons. In the afternoon, we drive back to Addis Ababa and we shall make a lunch stop to enjoy a typical Ethiopian Cuisine with local entertainment by the local tribe before we drive to the airport in time for our flight back home.
